As factories moved away from Ohio in the 1980s, alcohol and drug use went on the rise. 2018 saw a decrease in alcohol and drug use in every Ohio county except for Franklin County. A big reason for that is because Columbus has some of the highest rates of alcohol and drug abuse in the United States.

Fortunately, there are plenty of treatment facilities for those who wish to walk the path of sobriety. Once an individual has made the scary first step of seeking help, they will have access to everything from luxury rehab centers, outpatient counseling, and sober living.
